Use the Locking Hardware
Use the included locking bolt and nut when you want the fan to stay fully open.

Tighten Gently
Tighten only enough to hold the fan in position. Do not overtighten.

Why won’t my fan stay open when I tighten the standard nut?
The standard hardware is designed for smooth opening and closing, not for locking the fan open. Use the included locking hardware when you want the fan to remain fully open.
How do I return the fan to normal movement?
Simply loosen the locking nut. The fan can then move freely again.
